These bowls were made from a Walnut tree growing on the banks of Windermere, in the English Lake District.
Each bowl was rough turned after being chain sawn to size from the trunk or branches and allowed to air dry for a year. They were then re-turned by hand, carefully sanded to retain any detail. They are then finished with three coats of a mark proof inert oil to bring out the wonderful grain and colour and some include a small section of bark to add contrast to the surrounding area. Each bowl is unique, both art and functional. Feel free to use to serve salad, nuts, crisps or even salsa.
