This Walnut Bowl was made from a Walnut tree growing on the banks of Windermere, in the English Lake District.
Each bowl was rough turned after being chain sawn to size from the trunk or branches and allowed to air dry for a year. They were then turned again by hand, carefully sanded to retain any detail. They are then finished with three coats of a mark-proof inert oil to bring out the wonderful grain and colour and some include a small section of bark to add contrast to the surrounding area. Each bowl is unique, both art and functional.
We recommend using this walnut bowl to serve a salad, nuts, crisps or even salsa.
