Churches

For many years, Peter Hall & Son have been proud to play an active role in maintaining and enhancing some of our beautiful local churches. In recent years, a large refurbishment project at St Mary’s Church, Windermere required a new lectern, altar rail and nave altar. The design of the nave altar incorporated gothic interlacing legs and an arch, which incorporated original architecture within the building. Jeremy Hall also designed a new fixing for a removable altar rail at this church, allowing it to be stored in front of the high altar when not in use. At Beetham Church, a high altar was made alongside a pair of Entrance screens, a pair of stalls and 12 chairs for the Lady Chapel. Jeremy Hall now sits on the Diocesan Advisory Committee, where he helps to provide advice on the architecture, fittings ad furniture in places of worship.
